The Skinny
Glaver formed as a group in Knoxville, TN in late 2024 and embodies the sound of the new ‘grunge-gaze’ genre emerging with today’s up and coming bands. Gus Kohler and Jackson Yarborough founded the band and quickly added Bobby on drums to round out their trio.
Gus and Jackson emerge as a powerful duet reinforcing each others vocals while simultaneously complimenting the instrumentation on guitar and bass. Gus also drops in some fine synth sounds to really bring out some of the latent 80s mixed genre sounds embedded in the musical DNA of Glaver’s sound.
A bit of post-punk, a shade of shoegaze, a pinch of pop, wrapped in some grungy rock. Glaver brings to life the modern take on ***.
